I was using a Canon Digital Rebel Xt SLR Camera and then last year I upgraded to the Canon Digital Rebel Xti SLR Camera for the added photo size. I was using the Speedlite 380EX flash on the Canon Digital Rebel Xt SLR Camera and was given a really good deal on the Canon Speedlite 430EX.

I have been going back and fourth with the Xti camera using both the 380EX and the 430EX. I really can find little difference between the two except at a long distance. Then the 430EX has it hands down over the 380EX.

I really enjoyed reading all your reviews and camera information. This is the first time I have been to this website.

I am looking for a diagram of the focusing screen in a Canon Digital 300D. Mine has come dislodged and I would like to be able to repair it myself. I do not have the $200 canon wants to repair it. Wonderful site - I've got electronic versions for the manuals of all my EOS film and digital cameras and other equipment - much more readable than the paper versions. However I've just bought a 400D and the link to the PDF manual does not work - please help.

I'm just new in cameras and was able to get a Canon EOS 3000N Date but, with no manual. I tried looking for one but, here I am searching the net for possibilities.

Then I got here on this site but the manual offered was not in English.

hi, this is really great site, i hv a problem with my eos 350D, its internal flash fires two times so that my light operated slave flash cant be capture on the shot because of pre fire, i could not find any setting regarding internal flash to set at single fire, what would i do? Please help to solve this problem, thank you very much,

I just purchased a Canon 35MM EOS Rebel X for my daughter for her Xmas stocking stuffer - she is a Frosh in high school and is highly interested in photography - this will be her first class and her future instructor suggested this model camera and to look for it at a pawn shot, if possible, until she decides she really wants to 'shoot' - Did so, and found it, but have no manual - SN is 0103413.

Any help at all on getting a manual would be greatly appreciated - can't belive how many EOS models there are, etc.

As well, this model does not have a built-in flash, so if anyone can help me on ways to find one of those at a good price, that would be super -

One last thing........can this lens be removed for use on a digital model (Canon) should she decide photography is 'in her blood'?

Hi guys, have you ever seen service manual for old 28-80 lens (not the USM and not the L one)? I'd like to repair mine (clean and lubricate, in exact terms), it's dusted and makes the scratchy sound while zooming (which is veeery annoying).

You are doing a fabulous job and a providing a great service to Canonists. Any sign of a PDF version of the EOS 450D yet?

I don't know why Canon don't put them on the CD they provide with their cameras and why they can't be downloaded from their website instead of just useless brochures. The electronic versions are much easier to read than the small format paper versions and can be carried around on a laptop.

Hi Julian,
I’ve used a Canon EOS 1000FN and Canon Zoom lens 35-80mm f/4-5.6 for canopy closure photography (i.e. photographs of tree tops from the ground) for my research on plant ecology. The camera was set on the ground focusing vertically, set on auto focus mode at the lowest magnification of the lens (to infinity). The maximum height of tree tops from the ground was 10m. My questions are:
What are the angles of the FOV?
What would be the Horizontal Plane of Interception at 10 meters from the camera?
Thank you for your time and also for the Canon site you host. I tried to use your java script lens calculations but was confused with the different specifications for the 35mm lenses (different f/) thank you.
